Our wedding will be held at the beautiful Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta. Our hope is everyone can stay at the resort so that we can have a casual and fun three-day gathering with everyone together. We'll be there Wednesday January 27th - Tuesday, February 2nd. You're invited and welcome any or all of those dates.We highly recommend you choose the "All-Inclusive" package as individual pricing is expensive at the resort. We’ve reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate, along with a $500 credit to help make this trip more affordable. Please click the button below to reserve your room. (Note: the $500 credit will not appear in your booking confirmation, but will be applied when your final balance is due at the end of your stay).We recommend reserving early because our block may fill up and the resort may not be able to accommodate additional guests! Information
Flights: The closest airport is Puerto Vallarta Airport (PVR). Alaska and American offer non-stop flights from San Diego. Many other airlines have reasonable options as well.
Transportation: The resort is about 30 minutes south of the PVR airport. We recommend not renting a car as Mexican rental companies can be unreliable. Consider grabbing an Uber as it's pretty inexpensive. Garza Blanca also offers private airport transportation services, and can assist in arranging group transfers for guests traveling together for an additional cost. There are several heated pools, private beach, fitness center, tennis, pickleball, hiking trails, kayaks, rooftop decks and pools, and a lot more! For convenience, the resort includes a trolley available to all guests. The trolley operates from 7 AM to 1 AM, running every 15 minutes to various on-site dining, beach, and facility locations.
Arrival/Check Out Tips: Upon arrival, we recommend requesting an updated resort map, as recent construction may not be reflected on printed versions. You may wish to have the staff highlight your tower, the Terra Luna venue, and the Orange Tree for easy navigation. Be sure to pick up the weekend activity schedule to explore and sign up for the resort’s fun activities. At check-out, allow at least 20 minutes to complete the process. Check-out must be done in person, and a confirmed check-out ticket is required before departing the property.
Food: We highly recommend going with the all-inclusive option for the resort as the a la carte options are quite expensive at the resort, and eating out of the resort is a bit of a trek. (One of our sushi dinners at the resort was over $500, but we paid $0 with the all inclusive!) It also includes all-you-can-eat room service and stocked fridge, and the food is incredible!
Kids: We have two of them and we're bringing them. If you've got some kids, they're invited! Garza Blanca is a ton of fun with kids. It's even more fun with no kids. Choose wisely. (Some potentially helpful info: They have a drop in, kid-zone daycare included for 4 - 12 year olds. There are also professional baby sitters available at an additional cost. For adults only, there are a couple of rooftop infinity pools and bars).
Safety Measures: Garza Blanca is a gated resort with a strong commitment to guest safety. The property maintains strict security protocols, including controlled access at all entry points with on-site security personnel—only registered guests are permitted on the premises. Although we felt very safe walking everywhere, for secure transportation within the property, a trolley is available free of charge. For emergencies, an on-site medical center is available, staffed with medical professionals and equipped with medication and supplies.
Reception Attire: Resort/Coastal Chic. Terra Luna is an open-air venue nestled in the jungle with beautiful ocean views. The space features hard floors with some stairs. Think light, breathable fabrics and comfortable wedges, leather sandals, or clean sneakers. Vibrant colors and patterns are welcome.
Gift Registry: We got married in our 40s. We have all the kitchen gadgets we need. Please don't get us a present other than your presence. And if you can't make it, we'll take a large anonymous wire to a Swiss bank account, or failing that, a few bitcoins.
